Products
Yes. Most lines are offered in several sizes, capacities and material options (for example PLA-lined, kraft, bagasse, rPET or aluminium, depending on the product) so you can match packaging to your menu, service style and operating temperature. Sizes, capacities and material specifications are shown on each product page; where you need a format that is not listed, contact our team at sales@lumapack.co and we will advise on the nearest equivalent or a bespoke option.
Key specifications, dimensions, capacity, material, case quantity and, where relevant, suitability guidance, are shown on each product page. If you need fuller technical data (for example board weight, lining type, microwave/freezer suitability, or a compliance declaration), contact sales@lumapack.co and we will provide the available documentation for that product.
We offer a range of recyclable, compostable and lower-impact lines alongside conventional options; the eco credentials of each product are stated in its description. Please note that 'compostable' and 'recyclable' claims depend on local waste-handling infrastructure, for example, many compostable items require industrial composting and are not suitable for home composting or general recycling. Disposal routes vary by local authority, so we recommend you follow local guidance and communicate the correct disposal route to your own customers.
Yes, the recyclability or compostability of each item, and the relevant certification where applicable, is set out in the product description. If you need this confirmed in writing for a tender or sustainability report, contact sales@lumapack.co with the product codes and we will supply the available certification references.
Our ranges span several materials so you can match packaging to your food and service. These commonly include kraft board and paper for dry and ambient items, bagasse (sugarcane fibre) for hot and oily foods, paper and PLA-lined cups for hot and cold drinks, rPET and clear plastics for cold grab-and-go items, and aluminium for hot-hold and oven use. The material and its intended use are shown on each product page; contact us at sales@lumapack.co if you need help choosing.
Many of our cups, containers and boxes are designed for hot food and drinks, but suitability varies by line. Check the product page for the stated temperature suitability, and contact us if you need confirmation for a specific application such as very hot, oily or liquid foods.
Some lines are suitable for microwave, freezer or oven use and others are not. Where a product is suitable, this is stated on its product page. If suitability is not stated, please do not assume it is safe for these uses; contact us to confirm before ordering.
Lids are designed to fit specific cup ranges and sizes. The compatible lid is listed on each cup's product page, and the matching cup on each lid's page. If you are unsure which lid fits your cups, contact us with the product codes and we will confirm.
Products intended for oily, saucy or wet foods are made with suitable barriers or coatings, and this is indicated on the product page. Performance depends on food type, temperature and holding time, so we recommend requesting a sample to test with your own menu before ordering in volume.
Orders
You can order directly through lumapack.co, or by sending a purchase order or enquiry to sales@lumapack.co. For larger, repeat, contract or custom orders we recommend ordering through our team so we can confirm stock, lead time, pallet delivery and pricing before the order is processed. A binding contract is formed only when we issue written order confirmation, see the Terms and Conditions.
Standard stock lines are generally available without a strict minimum order quantity, subject to availability and pack/case quantities. Custom-branded and bespoke packaging carry minimum order quantities that vary by product and print method, see varies by product and print method for custom-branded items and varies by product and print method for fully bespoke projects.
Where the delivery method supports tracking, we provide tracking details after dispatch. For palletised or multi-drop bulk orders our team can confirm delivery progress directly. Add a valid mobile number and email at checkout to receive carrier notifications where available.
Yes, Lumapack is a trade-first supplier and we welcome bulk and wholesale orders. Orders above courier limits are dispatched by pallet, and we can advise on repeat-supply arrangements, call-off stock and the most cost-effective formats for higher-volume operations. Contact sales@lumapack.co for a trade quote.
Stock orders may be amended or cancelled only before dispatch, and only if we confirm the change in writing; once dispatched, the returns process applies. Custom-branded and bespoke orders cannot be amended or cancelled once artwork has been approved and production has begun, because the goods are made specifically for you. See the Terms and Conditions for the full position for business and consumer customers.
Samples
Request samples by contacting sales@lumapack.co with the product codes you would like to evaluate, or via the samples form on lumapack.co where available. Sample availability depends on the item and current stock.
Standard samples may be free or low-cost, but a delivery or handling charge may apply depending on the items and destination. Any charge is confirmed before we send the samples. If you then place an order, the sample delivery charge is refunded against that order. Customised or branded samples involve setup and production costs, which we confirm once the design is finalised.
For selected projects we can produce branded or customised samples or pre-production proofs. These usually require artwork approval and involve a setup/production cost, which we confirm before proceeding. Some products cannot be sampled in branded form, in which case we may be able to show printed examples produced for other clients.
We typically provide one or two units per sample item, and can usually send multiple sizes of a product so you can test suitability. For larger evaluation quantities, contact us so we can discuss the best approach.
Shipping
Stock items are usually delivered within a few working days of dispatch, with palletised bulk orders on a similar timescale. Custom-branded and bespoke orders need production time first. See the Shipping and Returns page for current dispatch and delivery timescales.
We offer free UK mainland delivery on orders over £99 (ex VAT), with a flat charge below that and possible surcharges for remote or non-mainland addresses. See the Shipping and Returns page for current charges.
We primarily supply within the United Kingdom but may arrange export delivery on request; contact sales@lumapack.co before ordering. For exports, import duties and taxes at the destination are your responsibility. See the Shipping and Returns page.
For any delivery outside UK mainland or for export, import duties, taxes and customs charges at the destination are the customer's responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing. See the Shipping and Returns page.
Inspect your delivery on arrival, note any visible damage or shortage on the carrier's record, and tell us promptly with photographs. See the Shipping and Returns page for the reporting timeframe and procedure.
Returns
Opened, used, custom-branded and bespoke packaging is non-returnable unless faulty or supplied incorrectly. Unopened, resaleable standard stock may be accepted at our discretion, subject to notice and charges. See the Shipping and Returns page for the full policy, time limits and charges.
Contact sales@lumapack.co with your order number and details before sending anything back; unauthorised returns may be refused. See the Shipping and Returns page for the step-by-step procedure.
No. Custom-branded, printed-to-order and bespoke items are made specifically for you and are non-returnable unless there is a verified production fault or supply error. See the Shipping and Returns page.
Accepted returns of non-faulty standard stock may be subject to a restocking charge and a collection charge, plus the cost of delivery where we arrange the return. No charge applies where goods are faulty or supplied incorrectly. See the Shipping and Returns page for current rates.
Once a return is approved and the goods are received and inspected, we refund the original payment method as quickly as possible. See the Shipping and Returns page.
Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards and bank transfer (BACS). The methods available to you are shown at checkout or on your invoice, depending on how the order is placed.
Any applicable surcharge would be shown before you complete payment. Where no surcharge is stated, the order total shown is the amount due.
Payments are processed through our website checkout and regulated payment providers; Lumapack does not store full card details. Only use official Lumapack payment channels, and contact sales@lumapack.co if any payment request looks unusual or does not come from a verified Lumapack address.
Trade customers can apply for a credit account subject to a credit check and our approval. Approved accounts are typically due 30 days. See the Trade and credit accounts section of our Terms and Conditions for how to apply and the terms that apply.
Volume, contract and repeat-supply pricing is available for trade customers. Contact sales@lumapack.co with your requirements and we will provide a tailored quote. Promotions, where offered, are stated at the time of purchase.
Custom Branded
Yes. We print logos, brand colours and artwork onto a wide range of products, and can supply branded labels/stickers where direct print is not suitable. Branding options and any minimums are shown on the relevant product pages; see the artwork questions in this FAQ for file and proofing requirements.
Depending on the product, options include direct print, printed labels/stickers, and embossing on certain fibre products. The available method, number of colours and print area vary by product and are confirmed at quotation.
Supply print-ready vector artwork, AI, PDF or EPS, with Pantone or CMYK references for each colour. Full requirements (formats, resolution, bleed, colour, file size) are covered in the artwork questions in this FAQ. Artwork is normally supplied after order confirmation, and production proceeds only after you approve a proof.
Yes, minimum order quantities apply to custom-branded packaging and depend on the product and print method (varies by product and print method).
For some custom-branded products we can produce a pre-production sample or printed proof, subject to feasibility, lead time and a setup cost, which we confirm in advance. We may also be able to show printed examples from previous projects.
Bespoke Packaging
Yes. Where standard lines do not meet your format, branding or operational brief, we can develop bespoke packaging. The process starts with your brief (pack type, dimensions, volumes, branding and timeline); we then review feasibility, pricing and any tooling or structural requirements and guide the project through proofing and production approval.
Typical stages are: brief → feasibility and quote → structural/artwork development → prototype or pre-production sample → sign-off → production → delivery. Lead times depend on complexity, tooling and proofing and are longer than for stock items (varies depending on tooling and proofing); we recommend early planning.
Yes. Because of design, tooling and print setup, bespoke packaging carries a minimum order quantity, which varies by product and manufacturing method.
Where suitable for the application, we can specify recyclable, compostable or other lower-impact materials. Final material selection depends on performance needs, food-contact suitability and manufacturing compatibility.
Artwork and Branding
When you order custom-branded or bespoke products, follow our artwork requirements (file formats, colour, fonts and bleed, and proofing) set out in the questions below, so that print is accurate and your order is not delayed. These requirements form part of our Terms and Conditions. Once you approve a proof, production begins and the order cannot be amended, cancelled or refunded.
Supply print-ready vector artwork as AI, PDF or EPS files (up to 50MB). Vector files keep logos and text sharp at any size. Where only a raster file is possible, supply a high-resolution file of at least 300 dpi at final print size; low-resolution or web images (for example JPG or PNG from a website) are not suitable for print.
Specify each colour using a Pantone (PMS) or CMYK reference. We print in CMYK or to the agreed spot colours. Colours on screen (RGB) will not match printed output exactly, and colour can vary between proofs, materials and production runs; exact colour matching is not guaranteed. If colour is critical, request a pre-production proof.
Convert all fonts to outlines/curves, or supply the font files, to avoid substitution. Include the bleed and keep important text and logos within the safe area shown on the product template. Use our product templates where provided, download them from the relevant product page or request them from sales@lumapack.co.
After we receive your artwork we prepare a digital proof for you to check and approve. Check spelling, layout, colour references, sizing and barcodes carefully, proof approval is your responsibility, and errors contained in an approved proof are not grounds for refund or replacement. Production starts only after written proof approval; for some products a pre-production physical sample is available at a setup cost.
Small variations in print position, registration and colour are normal in packaging print and are not defects. Print position is subject to a reasonable tolerance because of how products are formed and printed.
Custom-branded items carry a minimum order quantity (varies by product and print method); bespoke projects vary by product and print method. Print runs are subject to an over/under-production tolerance of plus or minus 10%: you may receive and be charged for up to that percentage over, or receive up to that percentage under with the shortfall refunded.
Custom-branded production varies by product and print method and runs from proof approval; bespoke projects depend on tooling and proofing. Lead times run from proof approval and receipt of correct files, not from order placement. Plan ahead for seasonal demand.
By submitting artwork, logos, trade marks or designs, you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, and you indemnify Lumapack against any claim arising from their use. We will not check or be responsible for whether your artwork infringes third-party rights. Tooling, plates and origination we create remain our property unless agreed otherwise in writing.
We retain approved artwork to make reordering straightforward, unless you ask us to delete it. For a reorder, confirm whether the previously approved artwork should be used or whether a new proof is required.
Account
If you have an account, log in to view past orders and reorder, reusing previously approved artwork for branded lines where applicable. Alternatively, send your order number to sales@lumapack.co and we will replicate the order.
We do not offer consumer buy-now-pay-later. Trade customers may apply for a credit account with payment terms of 30 days, subject to credit check and approval; see the Trade and credit accounts section of our Terms and Conditions.
